1. RYMMember Your Maker– Begin with both hands crossed over your heart with feet together. Inhale and lift your chin towards the ceiling. As you raise your arms up and outward in a circular motion open with your right leg. As you lower your arms bring your feet together and exhale.
2. Relax Your Muscles -Inhale as you step with your left leg out to the side. With your arms at your side palms facing up, contract the muscles in your arms and legs feeling the tension. Raise your arms slowly to the ceiling starting at your sides in a circular motion. Palms should be facing one another. Now turn your palms facing front, bending your elbows as you lower your arms in a relaxed motion. Release the tension as you relax your body, bending at the waist and knees then drop like a rag doll. Close your legs, remaining relaxed as you come back up. Feel the areas that tension is greatest and focus on that part of your body- head, shoulders, arms, and legs etc.) Gently speaking to your body to harmonize.
3. Release Your eMotions – Inhale bringing hands to your core with the heel of your palms together, fingers facing forward, opening up the hands and fingers to look like a crown. Push your hands forward as you take a step forward with your R leg. Surrender the eMotion outward and upward. Bring your arms around to the outside of the body in a circular motion and rest at your side. (letting go of the present eMotions) These emotions could be positive or negative in nature. We release the negative eMotions from us and release the positive eMotions toward others.
4. Renew Your Mind– With your feet together inhale as you step out to the side with your R foot. Simultaneously bring your arms around in a circular motion to the R, bending at the waist. Exhale as you bend. Bring your R leg in to meet the L leg as you inhale and bring your fingertips to the centre of your forehead just above your eyebrows. (say your daily statement, affirmation, scripture, line from a poem or song, etc…)
5. Restore Your Memories– Bring your arms down. Inhale as you step out to the side with your L foot. Simultaneously bringing your arms around in a circular motion to the L, bending at the waist. Exhale as you bend. Inhale as you bring your L leg in and touch your fingertips to your temples (the slightly indented spot between your eyes and your ears at the side of your head). Then place your L palm, on the back of your head while placing your R palm on your forehead and then making a fist with your R hand.
6. Recall Your Magnificence – Bring your arms down by your side. Straighten your hands, palms facing up and fingers straight out and together, lift your arms to shoulder height as you make one turn to your R. As you come back to centre bring your arms up all the way up over your head and bend at the elbows bringing them down in front of you. Shake your hands back and forth at the wrist (jazz hands) as you lower your hands in front. Repeat the movement to the L side, inhaling and exhaling freely as you turn.
7. Manifest Your Best -Hands crossed over your heart with hands clenched in fists. Inhale. Take one step forward leading with your R leg. Exhale as you step forward. And release your hands to your side with open fists.
If you are ready to manifest full out, go ahead and do a standing “Power-Pose”. This is a static position that you take physically (an action or position), Do what makes you feel empowered as if you can and will accomplish what you have planned for the day. This is whatever makes you feel powerful. “Wonder Woman/Superman stance” with hands in a fist at your waist with feet apart, or simply standing still with arms at your side. You may have one arm up and tight fisted. Whatever your power pose is, it is the right one for you. It may not be a pose. It may be an action you do that empowers you. You may choose a sitting posture knowing that He’s (Creator/ God) got this, so you’ve got this!
In her discourse in New York Magazine, titled, “My overview of the state of the science on postural feedback (power posing)”, author Amy Cuddy says, “adopting expansive postures causes people to feel more powerful”. This is based on a systematic review, including 46 studies from 96 researchers from university labs around the world.
Note: If you’re not ready to manifest fully and you need to do the movements a few more times that is perfectly okay. Begin where you’re at, not where you think you ought to be. It will take time and practise to get in the RYMMz Zone.
